Mixed open class
(This class is for Older Children, Teens & Adults, all ranks. Sorry, no Lil Dragons!)
Class Times are Saturday Mornings from 11:00am – Noon
This is such an awesome class that it has been a staple at TBTSDC for many years. Why would we opt to have a mixed open class? The reason is simple! It gives our newer members a chance to meet and train with some of the senior members that they seldom see due to class schedule times etc. When a new member gets a chance to come and train with some of the more seasoned members, often times it inspires them even more. There is indeed something quite powerful about that. Grandmaster Baird has always abided by the adage, that during any given class, a member is either one step closer to earning a black Belt or one step closer to quitting.
Self-defense – Weight Control
Tang Soo Do techniques are taught in a manner specially geared to the needs of self-defense for all and can last a lifetime.
The distinctive nature of this style is neither too soft nor too strenuous for men, women, or children and the variety of defense techniques is not equaled in any other form of martial arts.
The various combinations of vigorous techniques condition the body. While practicing self-defense techniques, these area’s muscle groups are worked so that fat is regenerated into firm muscles. Emphasis is focused on the core muscles. Repetition of these specific techniques will help to condition your body, giving you better balance, more agile and powerful movements, and an overall healthier appearance.
Happier Life by Balancing Your Mind and Body
Our training unifies the development of mental concentration and emotional control. With special exercises such as meditation, breathing exercises, and forms, students can control emotional attachments and enable themselves to think positively and open their minds to others. Exercise can also help your body correct illnesses, certain cases of depression and hypertension, arthritis, and diabetes.
